The front of the card is the widget
Character, pinyin, and a short English meaning sit under the clock. You see the card while unlocking the phone, not after you decide to study.
Again and Got it
Open the app to grade the word. Again brings it back sooner. Got it pushes the next review later. There is no streak to protect.
A deck with an order
The cards are HSK vocabulary, introduced by level and frequency, with example sentences and audio. The same lists are published on this site.
A flashcard app vs the Lock Screen
The grading can be the same idea. The difference is whether the card shows up when you are not in the app.

Add the card to the Lock Screen

Install Dayword and take the placement check so the deck starts near your level.

Open Settings and tap Add the widget.

Place it under the clock. Grade words in the app when you want audio or the example sentence.
Questions
Is Dayword a Chinese flashcard app?
It is a vocabulary app with flashcard grading. The word appears on the Lock Screen, and you mark Again or Got it in the app. The deck is HSK vocabulary.
Do the cards include pinyin and English?
Yes. The widget shows the character, pinyin, and a short English meaning. The app adds an example sentence and pronunciation.
Can I use simplified or traditional characters?
Either. Switch in Settings. Pinyin, the English meaning, and audio stay the same.
What deck is this?
HSK vocabulary, 10,863 words, ordered by level and frequency. The HSK 1 list is 299 words, and each of those has a page on this site.
